Photography as an extension of the written word: an extension of an aesthetic that can only be completed with visuals. The emotive powers in a photograph, the message without words, the intellectual and aesthetic culmination, are all aspects that we celebrate and aim towards here at BNU. Here, through and on this platform, under the shades of The Maya Tree, we are finding avenues of exposure and expression like never before. In the first issue, the photographers work included is just the beginning of things to come, of visual dimensions explored and agreed upon to publish by a blind peer review. We ask all students, especially SCAD, SVA and SLA students studying the history, theory, art and craft of photography, to come together and take advantage of this opportunity to have their work published in subsequent issues. Every submission is precious, every picture a story- so come tell us yours
